Market Street) in a special music and art open house from 11:30am-1:00pm. Visitors can stop by to enjoy Les Délices’ music and take in the gallery’s exhibition An American City: Life in America, A Group Exhibition, which opens on August 16 as part of FRONT art festival presented throughout the northeast Ohio this summer.
This performance previews the group’s upcoming 10th Anniversary Season, which includes a new four-concert series at Akron’s Holy Trinity Lutheran Church beginning in October. Known for their creative, original programming, Les Délices has been recognized as “an early music group with an avant-garde appetite,” whose “concerts and recordings are journeys of discovery” (New York Times).
Early oboe specialist and Les Délices director Debra Nagy plus Steuart Pincombe (viola da gamba) and harpsichordist Mark Edwards will perform sensitive and thrilling solos by Fran├ºois Couperin, Bach, Marais, and more.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”16258″ img_size=”large” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=”” link=”https://newberryconsort.org/”][vc_empty_space height=”10″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
