With plentiful performance opportunities and a booming market for published music, Europe’s most fashionable city should have been ripe for the young Mozart’s picking! But the strong-willed, young composer lost out when he refused to network with influential people or accommodate French tastes. This special program pairs readings from Mozart’s letters with his quartet for oboe & strings plus chamber music by Paris’s toasts of the town – Boccherini, Gluck, and Cambini.
Performers:
Debra Nagy (oboe), Julie Andrijeski & Johanna Novom (violin), Allison Monroe (violin & viola), Jaap ter Linden (cello)[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner row_type=”row” type=”full_width” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column_inner]Tickets & Information[/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”16443″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space height=”5px”][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Vuh_DBxMRA”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
