Comprising an aria and thirty variations, J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations are at once thrilling and daunting for performers and audiences alike. In this 75-minute concert and conversation – including images from a rare first-edition of the Goldberg Variations and live video of the keyboard – we invite you to go Inside the Goldbergs with harpsichordist Mark Edwards and pianist Dror Biran as they explore Bach’s momentous work and consider the unique challenges and opportunities that Bach’s music has for us all. Presented in collaboration with the Riemenschneider Bach Institute at Baldwin Wallace University and Piano Cleveland.
SalonEra Sessions is a new initiative from SalonEra. Audiences will enjoy gorgeous music and fascinating insights from featured guests listen, learn, and enjoy as in a casual setting along with light refreshments.
