Kick off the new season with Les Délices at a free/pay-what-you-can performance at The Treelawn Music Hall, an architectural and acoustical treasure in the heart of the Waterloo Arts & Entertainment District.
Our full-day Baroque String Workshops offer a stimulating, intensive, and rewarding experience for participants to explore different aspects of the day’s theme. Each workshop includes a faculty performance, group classes on characteristic styles and techniques, mini-lessons, and full-ensemble playing sessions that culminate in a public performance and reception for students and families. Along the way, participants experience the expressive potential of using baroque bows and gain essential chamber music experience as we learn and rehearse Baroque music without a conductor.
In Kiss and Tell, star countertenor Reginald Mobley joins Les Délices to explore the coded language of love and desire in bucolic poetry from the late 17th & 18th centuries. The program’s centerpiece is Kiss and Tell, a new myth-inspired cantata by composer Damien Geter with a libretto by Tsitsi Jaji. Don't miss this exclusive free preview event at Visible Voice Books!
